Our mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ.

 Prayer Labyrinth

When was the last time you were invited to walk with Christ? Did you take Christ up on the invitation, or were you too involved in our hectic everyday lives? Join us August 25-30 as we make time for Christ, and a quiet walk with Him in Dulin's labyrinth?

Walking a labyrinth is a simple yet profound way of prayer that intentionally offers silent reflection, meditative movement, and symbolic pondering of our spiritual longing to seek the center of life. As Christians, that center is Jesus Christ. By walking the circuitous route -- and there is only one route – to the center and back out again, we have an opportunity to think about our spiritual lives, our temporal lives, our joys and concerns, our relationship with Christ. In our prayer lives, how often do we mean to say "Speak, Lord, your servant is listening", and instead end up saying "Listen, Lord, your servant is speaking"? Our labyrinth time of reflection and movement can open our hearts and minds to the spiritually renewing value of quiet -- and listening to God.

Take time for yourself and Christ. There are no unique dress* or equipment requirements, no one will be telling you how or how fast to walk the labyrinth, there are no prescribed rituals or words that you need to learn. Walk the labyrinth slowly or more quickly, stop in places and reflect on what you've learned so far, spend some time in the center before you start back to the beginning, come back more than once during the weekend -- you are totally in charge of your time with God. Invite family, neighbors and friends to join you in this spiritual experience -- the idea of pilgrimage and walking with God is certainly not unique to those of us in the Christian tradition.
