Our mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ.

United Methodist Women (UMW)

The purpose of the UMW shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation the global ministries of the church.

We are active in many ways. Please take a look at all we are doing and feel free to join with us.

Fellowship Groups

All women are invited to attend any meeting and we urge you to do just that. The groups are purposely scheduled a variety of days and times in the hope that you will find one that fits your lifestyle. The monthly fellowship meetings are noted in the bulletin. Occasionally, meetings will be held at a location other than the church. It is not necessary to pre-register, but it may be helpful to call ahead to verify location. Please feel free to attend any meeting. All are welcome.

Hermanitas Fellowship - 3rd Sunday of the month at 12:30pm

The Hermanita Fellowship is the newest UMW group at Dulin. This fellowship is open to all women of Dulin who want to foster faith-based friendships and also participate in local missions.  The name “Hermanita” means “little sister” in Spanish.  This  name reflects  our desire to be a  youth-oriented and cross-cultural group, as well as our connection to the more established fellowships.   Our focus is on helping women and families in our area.  We meet for lunch on the first Sunday of each month, and use a group email list to organize our meetings, discuss our mission work, and maintain our documents.

Joshua's Way Fellowship - 1st  Monday of the month at 7:30pm in the Multi Purpose Room of Dulin Church

We are an active group of women some of whom are working, parenting, traveling or all of the above. We meet on the first Monday of each month from 7:30-9:00pm. Combining the regular schedule of meetings with learning more about our spirituality and supporting missions here and abroad by completing projects such as the “Get Loaded at Dulin” baked potato dinner and the “Dress for Success” clothing drive, has deeply enriched our friendships. Feel free to join us! There is strength in numbers and we welcome you and the opportunity to increase our ability to help others. Contact Amy Henderson (703-241-7998) for further information.

Patty Maddox Fellowship - 1st Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm in the Multi Purpose Room of Dulin Church

This fellowship consists of women who join together to share our stories, to support each other when we have special concerns, to study  together to seek God's presence in our lives, and to work together to further local and global missions.  From this fellowship has grown an outreach to prepare used eyeglasses for distribution to needy people in the Third World.  We also have several members actively engaged in various craft projects, such as knitting afghans.  We especially enjoy  dressing Teddy Bears and donating items for the Salvation Army stockings  at Christmas time  We welcome new members to share our fellowship and our concern for women's and children's issues throughout the world.

Red Bird Fellowship - 1st Wednesday of the month at 10:30am in the Multi Purpose Room of Dulin Church

The Red Bird Fellowship shares a light breakfast the first Wednesday of each month at the church.  That is followed by great fellowship and good discussion. A special project that we support is Bethany House. Please feel free to join us.

CrossLinks Glasses Rehab Group - 3rd Tuesday of the month at 12:30pm

Nimble Fingers Knitters Group - 1st Friday of the month at 10:00am in the Library at Dulin Church

The Nimble Fingers Knitters gather to share our love of handwork along with some fun conversation and friendships. We make baby caps to be given to local hospitals for the newborns, and 7" squares that are made into lap blankets that are given to church members and others. If you love to knit, we'd love to see you the 4th Friday in the church library.
