Dulin Middle School and High School Youth attend Mission trips annually in the summer. This is a youth event, but adults who have completed a background check and training on working with youth are welcome to attend. You do not need contruction experience to participate in these events! The cost is the same for both trips; $150 for Youth and $50 for Adults.
Middle School Mission Trip- Group Weekend Workcamp
This is our first year doing a Middle School Mission Trip. This trip is for rising 7th - 9th graders, roughly ages 12-14. We will have the Group Weekend Workcamp in Roanoke, VA. We have tentatively scheduled for this for the weejebd of July 7-10. You must register for this event by September 30. Youth and adults participating in this event are expected to attend meetings, complete all forms, assist with fundraising, and pay for the trip. Sign up below:
High School Mission Trip - Appalachian Service Project
This will be our 7th year attending Appalachian Service Project. To participate in ASP as a youth, you are expected to participate in each fundraiser, attend one Rebuilding Together day, attend ASP Team Meetings, complete all forms, and pay $150. Youth are also expected to participate in the full work day at ASP 8:00am-4:30pm daily and events in the evening. Adults attending ASP are expected to participate in fundraisers, attend one Rebuilding Together Day, attend ASP Team Meetings and Leader Meetings (to be scheduled), complete a background check and youth worker training, assist youth while on the trip, and participate in the full work day and evening events on ASP. Adult leaders must also model positive and affirming Christian behavior. All ASP participants are required to read a document about ASP, trip preparation and safety. Read here.
