Volunteer Opportunities

  • Participate in Worship

Liturgy is “the work of the people.” Everyone shares in corporate worship. Dulin Church offers several opportunities for laity to serve as leaders in our worship services.

    Other Opportunities:
Cantors - Provide music leadership in the singing of the hymns
    and musical response.

Communion Server - Assist Pastor Dave to serve the bread or cup.

    Lector - Read the scriptures.

Greeters - Greet persons at the front and back entrances and
    answer questions guests may have.

Ushers - Give out bulletins, guide persons to their seats,
    and collect the offering.

Counters - Count the weekly offering
at the conclusion of each worship service.

Coffee Talk - Host and provide refreshments after worship services.

  • Ministry of Hope

Ministry of Hope at Dulin Church serves a monthly
Grab and Go Breakfast on the second Sunday of the month.

We are always in need of volunteers for our Ministry of Hope. Volunteers can help serve the weekly cold breakfast, help prepare and serve the 4th Sunday hot breakfast, participate in the weekly Panera Bread pick-up on Friday evenings or donate toiletry items. Training can be provided for any volunteer opportunity. Contact us if you would like to volunteer.

Fannie M. Shreve Library

Dulin Church Library has been serving our community for over 50 years! Our library is named in honor of a generous donor and founder of our library, Mrs. Fannie M. Shreve. The library seeks to offer the latest readings in Christian topics and religious issues. We also are continually updating our collection of children and youth books. The library is open every day of the week from 8:30am-4:30pm and on Sunday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm. If you have questions about the library contact the Dulin Church office.

The library has recently added over 25 new books for children and youth. The book present situations and opportunities for reflection and discussion about kindness to others. Several of the books are classics but you are sure to find some new ones to share as a family or read on your own. The books will be on their own shelf all year and we hope many of you will enjoy several of them over the coming months. There are many wonderful books for adults as well in the library and on a cart in the Wesley Room every Sunday.
